Is Vavi Looking to His Own Future?

Not long ago Vavi was conciliatory, saying that he seriously believed that government could not afford more than it was offering. Now he's going to "bring the economy to a halt".

He even seems to be saying that he will not support a second term for Zuma and regretting his role in brining Zuma to power.

So what sits behind this change of position - pressure or personal goals?
