Two observations on the way to the airport last night:
Plans vs Actions
Listening to 702 there was a caller who said he was so impressed that since Zuma had come to power, he had initiated a process that will lead to the development of a business plan for SA's Multi Purpose Community Centres (MPCC).
Another view is that the MPCCs had a business plan several years ago but have never managed to implement! That was the ANC government, this is an ANC government can we really expect implementors to blossom now that Zuma drives it?
What is being done to change the bulk of the civil service to caring responsible workers?
Blue Light Convoy
A convoy of 6 black cars with flashing blue lights accompanying a single unmarked car drove over the speed limit without proper following distances. This was presumably getting someone to the airport.
Given that there is a draft report on excessive spending by cabinet coming out of the minister of finances office, is it not time to address this both from a financial and climate warming viewpoint?
