A Pee in the Parks Ends in a Shoot Out
This is really a leap of assumption but why does this kind of thing happen in South Africa? Sounds more like a barroom brawl in binge drinking UK. Chances are it was the clash between an innocent offender and officious security guards!
So what do you think? Am I way off the mark?

Zuma Survives and Sells Organisational Renewal - But Will He Be Able To Do It?
Looks Like Zuma & His Party Leaders have succeeded in retaining power and getting buy in for an "organisational renewal" of the ANC which seems to address many of the bad habits that have developed as they enjoyed power.

But will he be able to make it happen? After all at the start of his term he committed to creating jobs and improving public services, both of which are worsening rather than improving!

Three Electrocuted By Illegal Wiring But Residents Will Carry On!
Alongside all the fun and spectacle of the ANC VGC in Durban a chilling story.
City Power removed illegal wiring in SLOVO Park near Eldorado Park on Friday, uprooting illegally connected electricity connections. The removal of wiring follows the deaths of three boys whose bodies were recovered in a river last week. An electric cable running through the river suggested that the boys could have been electrocuted.

And then the reason for illegal connection

This is a horrific vision of how people think in these situations, life seems to have little value after 3 were killed, resident Phillip Makwela said (click image for full story online)
"It is not the first time they have disconnected our electricity. We are not worried. We will make another plan,"
And then the reason for illegal connection
Makwela said residents had complained many times to the councillor about the lack of services in the area but nothing had happened. "Our votes count as much as everyone else's but we don't get services," he said.
Councillor Kevin Wax said government's refusal to develop informal settlements delayed the delivery of services to people desperate for basic services.

Malema Links Polygamists and Aids - Or Simply Attacks Zuma?
Malema advised an audience in the Free State that "It is not fashionable to sleep around. You will die", specifically coming out against leaders in polygamous marriages who don't set good examples.

Is Malema seriously worried about the youth and their health, specifically attacking Zuma or merely not figuring out the effect of what he says?
One person who is sure is SACP general secretary Blade Nzimande, he told SABC News on Sunday that Malema's speech was "a direct attack on the president". His view is that Zuma is a unifier among alliance partners which is what Malema "hates most about the president".

Online Swop - Baby for a House! Woman Prosecuted.
Is this the level of morality in Zumasland - quite astonishing! Hope it was a joke, but if the advertiser was arrested there must be something to the story

Did Malema and Cronies Really Impersonate Police
We can be sure this will be denied as the work of a lying has been to try and get attention, or some such rhetoric!

The fact that this is even published is a sad reflection of the perceptions of many people in South Africa!

Wire Theft & Mob Justice Reflect a Horrific Situation!
This really can't do anything but ring all sorts of alarm bells! The lack of respect for human life and property is nightmarish!

Does it all come back to the need to eliminate poverty? or is it a much deeper National Psyche thing that we has driven ourselves to?

Dual Prices at The Pub - Ripping Off The Tourist
This is one of the unfortunate consequences of the general "all for me" approach in almost all sectors of South Africa - a short term view of raking in whatever there is to be had! This is clearly good for this months income but not for long term tourism which is what South African must build on!

Good examples are civil servants, where the majority are only in it for their own benefit and take no responsibility for delivering what they are paid for.
That's why little teaching takes place at many schools, teachers don't push but just accept the prevailing climate of pupils who have no interest or motivation to learn - and the quality of education is the result.
This is accepted by government as proven in the numerous efforts President Zuma has made to put pressure on state employees - apparently performance systems are still not in place.

Zuma Can't Understand Those Who Brought Him To Power!
It doesn't take a rocket scientist, if you and your sidekicks are talking about machine guns and killing farmers, your supporters will also use violent means. If you can't deliver on your promises they will turn on you!

Also unless you have a short memory it will look rather like what the protestors were doing under the ANC's direction to make SA ungovernable!

Admits to casual sex while chairing SA's Moral Regeneration
There is little reason to doubt that Zuma discontinued his normal sexual activities once he was appointed the Patron of South Africa's Moral Regeneration Movement.
Interestingly there is little published on Government posts on Zuma and his activities.
The Moral Regeneration Movement in its history seems to try and take an armslength stance:
After the 1999 election, with Thabo Mbeki in office as president and Jacob Zuma as deputy president, the moral regeneration initiative began to enjoy more formal attention from the Presidency (this may have pointed to increasing interest in the moral regeneration approach; or merely to a more efficient administrative system). In dividing up political and administrative tasks between the president and deputy president in the early days of their term, Zuma was allocated responsibility for this initiative.Even though the Deputy President’s Office has some responsibility for the political co-ordination of the moral regeneration work being done in government, this is a fairly arms-length relationship; especially since the establishment of the Moral Regeneration Movement (MRM) with its own offices in Johannesburg. Another senior government figure associated with the early moral regeneration initiative was Rev Smangaliso Mkatshwa (a key religious figure within the ANC, former deputy minister of education and subsequent mayor of Tshwane).
